How Many Cybertrucks Have Been Delivered? (Updated: November 2024)

The Tesla Cybertruck has been in production for nearly a year, and while Tesla has yet to officially disclose how many have been delivered, clues from recalls and quarterly reports give us a good estimate. Here’s what we know so far and how we project the numbers for today.

    Tesla’s Lack of Transparency

Tesla remains one of the most secretive automakers when it comes to sharing delivery data for individual models. Its quarterly production and delivery reports group the Cybertruck with the Model S, Model X, and Tesla Semi under “other vehicles,” leaving fans and analysts guessing. However, a series of recalls has unintentionally shed light on Cybertruck production numbers.

    Cybertruck Deliveries Based on Recalls

    • June 2024 Recall: Tesla’s first recall for the Cybertruck revealed that by the end of June, approximately 11,000 vehicles had been delivered.
    • September 2024 Recall: A more recent recall affecting vehicles produced between November 13, 2023, and September 14, 2024, disclosed an “affected population” of 27,185 Cybertrucks.

By analyzing these figures, we can deduce that Tesla produced an additional 16,185 Cybertrucks between July and mid-September.

    Estimating Monthly Deliveries

If we distribute the production increase evenly, Tesla delivered approximately 5,400 Cybertrucks per month in July, August, and September. Factoring in continued ramp-up through October and November, we can estimate that production has increased to around 6,000-7,000 units per month in recent months.

    Estimated Deliveries as of Today

By the current time, we estimate that Tesla has delivered approximately 35,000–40,000 Cybertrucks since production began. This number reflects continued scaling at Giga Texas, as Tesla works to meet the high demand driven by pre-orders.

    Looking Ahead

While the Cybertruck’s delivery pace may seem modest compared to Tesla’s other vehicles, it’s important to remember that Tesla is still fine-tuning production for this highly unique vehicle. With its unconventional exoskeleton design and new manufacturing processes, scaling production has been a more complex challenge.

Tesla fans should also keep in mind that future recalls or production reports may provide further insights into Cybertruck numbers. Stay tuned to Teslaniac for monthly updates as we continue tracking Tesla’s progress.

Not sure why they are always hiding the numbers, so that we need to make estimations.

True, but based on recalls the estimations are close to real numbers
